10. Persons

Individuals in public spaces, like offices, cafes, schools, or streets, coexist with diverse purposes and interact with different people. For instance, someone at a cafe may be there for coffee, while another is studying. People can share the same public space but pursue unique activities, either engaging with others or enjoying solitary moments. In these settings, individuals navigate the balance between being part of a collective public and maintaining their individuality among strangers.

And whenever I’m in a public space, and see individuals who spend their own time among strangers in public, I feel that people can live as individuals and as a community at the same time.

Based on this theme, this “Persons” series illustration work visually describes an individual and people directly observing people in cafes, parks, streets and restaurants, like life drawings.
